PROP. 22

Mormons who oppose Prop. 22 need to do a little more research on what the effect of its passage would really be. It is NOT going to be the basis for denying or diminishing rights of children of gays, etc. California has a whole host of legislation that protects and provides for benefits of all sorts to gays.

What I do not understand is how can good Mormons think they are smarter than the Prophet? Do they think he hasn't prayed for and received inspiration on this one? In my opinion, if they oppose the Prophet's advice and stance on this issue, then they are as if opposing the Lord himself.

This is not a "hate-the-gays" issue. This is simply a protection of the traditional, basic unit of our society for thousands of years. If those who oppose it want to read some rational essays on what it is really about, have them contact Ken Allen at Sue@kenallen.org
