  Romney Thinking About Run For Massachusetts Office in 2002
In a recent interview in Salt Lake City, Romney, a Belmont Republican, was asked how his time spent in Utah to restore ethical and fiscal accountability to the Olympics might affect a bid for office in Massachusetts. "I think it probably communicates that there is more in my life than making money in business. That certainly is not what I lived for when I was back there but I think I was able to be characterized by my opponent as being a ruthless businessman....I think this at least broadens the perspective of who I am."

  Are More Utah Mormons Going Democratic?
At the recent Democratic National Convention, gubernatorial hopeful Bill Orton denied the effectiveness of a profile that was developed seven years ago by Brigham Young University political scientist David Magleby. Orton, who served three terms in Congress and was recently a delegate at the convention said, "I voted my constituency." It has successfully worked for Orton, a Mormon, who won three elections while representing one of the most conservative Republican districts in the nation.

  Hatch Stradles Fence on Anti-Union Violence Bill
Union-related violence during a strike is nothing new. In fact, it isn't even illegal. A Supreme Court decision in 1973 absolved unions of responsibility for union-organized violence.
