Seven Mormons on Forbes List of World's Billionaires
The current issue of Forbes magazine includes its annual list of the richest people in the world, and at least seven of those listed are Mormon. Forbes list is based on public records and Forbes' estimates of the fortunes of the 538 people worldwide who control fortunes worth more than $1 billion. One Mormon who has appeared on Forbes lists in the past year fell off the list, a casualty of the decline in tech stocks in the past year.

Regional Airline Run by LDS Family Growing Rapidly
SkyWest, the country's largest independently owned regional airline, says, "the skys the limit," as it embarks on one of the most ambitious expansion plans in the industry. While Comair, a wholly owned subsidiary of Delta, is in the throes of a month-long pilot strike, SkyWest is buying up five jets dropped by Comair and planning new routes from Salt Lake City to Texas, Iowa and Arizona.

Ghanian President Mistakenly Gives LDS Church Credit for Jobs
Ghana's President John Kufuor visited the offices of Affiliated Computer Services -- Business Process Solutions' venture in Accra, Ghana last week, and gave The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints credit for bringing the company to Ghana, where it employs 1,000 people. But a US-based executive of the firm, who is an LDS Church member, told Mormon News that the Ghanian President was mistaken, and overstated the Church's role.

MSI: Subscribers Identify Two More Companies
Mormon News subscribers have identified two more companies that belong on the Mormon Stock Index, increasing the number of companies to 31. But in spite of the additional participation, the index fell nearly 3%, much more than the Dow Jones Industrials, while other broader market indices increased. Two-thirds of the stocks on the MSI decreased, five by more than 10%.
