Mormon Actor Helps Lampoon Utah LDS Culture in 'Saturday's Voyeur'
The Salt Lake Acting Company's annual lampoon of all things Utah, including the local LDS culture and influence in the state, has again graced the stage, but this year, in an usual move, the play includes an active LDS actor. Rock H. White is described in a Salt Lake Tribune profile this week as a "New Mormon," an active church member who is liberal, open minded, and who didn't attend BYU.

Surviving High School, Made Easier Once Again
Perhaps no author has had as significant an effect on the youth of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as John Bytheway, whose popular "What I Wish I'd Known in High School" books were bestsellers. Now, he combines those two books and adds new chapters for "summer school" in "A Crash Course in Teenage Survival" (Bookcraft, $15.95), an updated and expanded look at ways to make it through those challenging teenage years.

Singles Ward -- The Movie
On September 4, 2001, the Linger Longer Company in Orem, Utah began filming its first full-length feature film "Singles Ward."
