Steve Young called to Stanford Ward bishopric
STANFORD, CALIFORNIA -- Retired star NFL quarterback Steve Young was
sustained last Sunday (9/2/2001) as second counselor in the bishopric
of the Stanford 1st Ward, Menlo Park California Stake -- a
student/singles ward adjacent to Stanford University.
Also sustained were John Stevens (a cardiac surgeon) as the ward's
new bishop, and first counselor David Holland (a graduate student in
history, and son of Elder Jeffrey R. Holland of the Twelve).
