SU Journalism Program gets LDS Foundation Grant

LOGAN, UTAH -- The Utah State University department of communication has reccieved an $8,000 grant from the LDS Church Foundation. The grant will be used by the department for computer equipment which will further hands-on instruction.

The grant was accompanied by a cover letter from Deseret News publisher Wm. James Mortimer, a 1954 USU graduate, who praised the department's work. The LDS Church Foundation is a charitable foundation that obtains its funds from the profit-making enterprises of the LDS Church, which include the Deseret News.
