Utah justice stepping down

Justice I. Daniel Stewart announced he is stepping down from the Utah Supreme Court. Stewart, 66, was appointed to the high court in 1979 by Democratic Gov. Scott Matheson and is the current longest serving justice. He has been controversial over the past 14 years with a multitude of dissenting opinions. He is also know for getting around in a wheel chair since contracting polio at 23 years old while serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in West Germany.
