President Dieter F. Uchtdorf, Acting President of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, and Elder Neil L. Andersen visited Spokane, Washington on August 23 to minister to Latter-day Saints affected by recent wildfires that destroyed hundreds of homes in Eastern Washington, according to the Church Newsroom.

The Apostles held a special meeting and met individually with fire survivors. The visit came three weeks after the fires devastated the region.
