Elder Ulisses Soares of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles met with journalists, religious leaders, government officials, missionaries and Church members during a visit to Mexico City, the Church announced.

The series of meetings focused on dialogue, shared values, service and the gospel of Jesus Christ. Soares engaged with both government and religious leaders in what the Church characterized as bridge-building efforts.

Mexico has the largest Latter-day Saint population outside the United States, with approximately 1.5 million members.
