Dan McClellan, creator of the Data Over Dogma content series and former Church translation department employee, appeared on The Joe Rogan Experience podcast. McClellan discussed joining the LDS Church at age 20, serving a mission in Uruguay, and his current position on LDS truth claims—he has stated publicly he does not believe them.

The appearance marks the first time a figure with Mormon background has been featured on Rogan's podcast, which reaches millions of listeners. McClellan occasionally defends LDS theological positions against evangelical critics while maintaining his non-belief in the Church's foundational claims. The Joe Rogan Experience is one of the most-listened-to podcasts globally.
