A new film titled "Brother Joseph Again" investigates whether a daguerreotype inherited by Dan Larson, Joseph Smith's great-great-grandson, actually depicts the church founder.

The documentary examines an image discovered in a family locket in the 1990s, exploring both measurable evidence and the tension between historical detective work and personal conviction. Larson inherited the keepsake along with other family items.

The film presents its case for the image's authenticity while acknowledging the broken chain of custody and other evidentiary challenges. No previous confirmed photograph of Joseph Smith is known to exist.
