A former bishop from Layton has been charged with allegedly attempting to meet with a prostitute and possessing explicit images of children, according to ABC4 Utah. Investigators allegedly found child sexual abuse material on his phone following his arrest during a prostitution sting.

The charges include solicitation and possession of child sexual abuse material. ABC4 reports the man previously served as a bishop in the Layton area, though his current status with the Church was not disclosed in the report.
