A lawsuit challenging the LDS Church's plans for a massive ranch development in Texas has been settled, the Houston Chronicle reports. Terms of the settlement were not disclosed.

The Church owns approximately 2,000 acres near Austin where it had proposed developing residential and commercial properties. Local residents and environmental groups had opposed aspects of the development plan, citing concerns about traffic, water usage, and environmental impact.

The Church's real estate holdings and development projects are managed through affiliated entities including Property Reserve Inc. The Texas ranch is one of several large properties the Church owns for agricultural, conservation, and development purposes.
