The First Lady of Liberia joined leaders of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to break ground on a new maternity hospital, according to the Church's Africa newsroom.

The partnership represents the Church's ongoing humanitarian efforts in Africa, where Latter-day Saint Charities has invested heavily in healthcare infrastructure. The maternity hospital will serve communities in Liberia, a nation with high maternal and infant mortality rates.
