The Managua Nicaragua Temple began its public open house, marking the first Latter-day Saint temple in the country. The open house allows community members to tour the building before it is dedicated for religious use.

Nicaragua has approximately 95,000 Latter-day Saints. The temple will serve members across Central America who previously traveled to Guatemala or Costa Rica. The dedication date has not been announced.
