Elder Ronald A. Rasband of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles met with Haitian Latter-day Saints and missionaries at the Dominican Republic border following instability in Haiti. The apostle described the ministry as "a heavenly experience" as he visited with members displaced by ongoing violence.

The visit comes as the Church continues to support Haitian members through humanitarian aid and relocated missionary work. The Church suspended missionary operations inside Haiti in recent years due to gang violence and political instability.
