Construction has begun on two new Latter-day Saint temples in Tulsa, Oklahoma and Victoria, British Columbia, Deseret News reports. Both projects move from planning and site preparation to active construction.

The Church currently operates 197 temples worldwide and has announced or is building more than 150 additional temples, the largest temple-building program in Church history. Temple construction timelines typically run three to five years from groundbreaking to dedication.
