Meanwhile in Ohio, apostle David Bednar dedicated a brand-new temple not far from the church's first temple in Kirtland. The dual dedications on opposite sides of the Americas highlight the church's ongoing temple construction program and Oaks' transition into his new role as president following Russell M. Nelson's death earlier this year.
