A Wolverines high school football game in Grand Blanc, Michigan raised funds to support rebuilding of the local Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints meetinghouse destroyed by arson last year. The attack followed a shooting that killed one person at the building.

Community support for the rebuilding has extended beyond the LDS congregation itself, with interfaith and civic groups contributing. The stake announced plans to break ground on a new building at the same site.
