After years of seismic upgrades and historic renovation, the Salt Lake Temple is nearing completion and preparing to welcome visitors. ABC4 reports on the decade-long design and construction process, which included three years of planning before work began.

The project represents one of the most extensive temple renovations in LDS Church history, combining structural reinforcement to meet modern earthquake standards with restoration of historical elements. The temple has been closed to the public since December 2019.
