John Dehlin's legal team is citing a recent podcast interview in which a Church attorney made comments they believe strengthen their defense against the LDS Church's trademark lawsuit over the "Mormon Stories" name.

The Salt Lake Tribune reports the defense attorneys argue the statement—made on a pro-Church podcast—undermines the Church's position that "Mormon" functions primarily as a religious trademark rather than a descriptive term for the faith community.
